Paal Khoa / Thirattipal / Milk Sweet

The most easiest sweet i've ever made is this. As per our customs, I had to make this sweet for my baby shower. The one my grandma makes requires a lot of energy and time. My co-sister saw a recipe online and she tried out. It is such an easy and no time recipe. It took just 5 mins for me. It tasted awesome!!! In fact guests for the baby shower thought i bought it from some south indian restaurant.

Ingredients
  • Condensed milk - 1 tin of 14oz
  • Milk powder - 6 tsp
  • Curd - 3 tsp
  • Ghee - 2 tsp

Method
  • In a glass bowl, mix all the above ingredients.
  • Keep in microwave at high for 2 minutes.
  • Take out, mix it well and again keep for 1 minute.
  • Repeat step 3 until the desired consistency is reached, taking out every minute and stirring. Usually the consistency is reached in 3 to 5 mins max.

To Start With..

Cooking had been my biggest fears in life. The very thought of handling a kitchen used to send a chill down my spine. I can't say i haven't been in the kitchen before marriage. But it used to be only when my mom was unavailable. My mom used to say cooking is such an easy task. I used to wonder how cud it be.. Yeah, today i agree with my mom completely. I perceive it this way. Cooking for somebody whom you love the most makes it interesting. Trying out new dishes and as you keep trying becoming a pro gives you a lot of confidence. Managing a kitchen all alone makes you feel so great. It took a year's time for me to feel good about my cooking. One thing i love the most about cooking for my hubby is he eats everything without making a fuss.. He loves his mother's cooking. I tried learning up his favourite dishes from my mum-in-love. She is an excellent cook and an excellent teacher over the phone. Each time i ask for a recipe, she teaches me so well that it comes out perfect the first time i make it.
Its not just from my mom or my mum-in-love i learn cooking. Any dish which i like a lot, i get the recipe immediately and try out.
